This design was something I came up with when I was stuck in my bed watching chick flicks one after the other. I think you can tell I was really feeling the romance vibes while designing these lacey socks. Even though its unrelated to my design process, I’ve named this pattern after my sons favorite song “Sweet Dreams” by the Eurythmics. My son Jack is such a supporter of my knitting escapades even at the young age of Three years old. Every time he sees me knitting he says, “Mom, you're knitting me socks?” Ninety percent of the time I’m not but I love that he asks! I have loved designing these for you, and I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I have.

These socks are an Intermediate level worked from the cuff down and use a slightly modified eye of partridge gusset heel. They use a Kitchener stitch to close for a seamless finish. I will add a link at the end of the pattern for a tutorial if you’ve never used the Kitchener stitch before. Both written and charted instructions are included for the lace section of the pattern.
